I am a contemporary landscape painter exploring the landscapes of the west- by foot and on canvas. Through my painting process, I explore vast open spaces where dynamic skies meet the steady ground beneath. My work often plays with color and tone in expressive ways to capture the atmosphere inspired by impressionistic and expressive traditions. The western landscapes have become a healing place and home to me. My desire as an artist is that my paintings would bring a sense of peace, solitude, and renewal to its viewers. My ultimate hope is that I might be able to play a small part in the redemptive process of creation.
